DPS troopers are looking for the driver of a Chevrolet Uplander that struck and killed a motorcyclist on FM 1485, and Roadway in New Caney before daylight on Saturday.
Investigators say Tamon Arence Willis, 18, of New Caney, TX was traveling westbound on FM 1485 at approximately 5:07 a.m., when the driver of the Chevrolet Uplander disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of FM 1485 and Roadway Rd. The vehicles collided, and Willis died at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet failed to stop and render aid, instead choosing to flee the area.
DPS troopers believe the vehicle in question will have damage to the driver side door. Any collision repair facility in the area be watchful and call if a vehicle fitting the description and damage are presented to you for repair facility.
After the initial crash a second vehicle, a Chevrolet pickup traveling west on FM 1485 then attempted to avoid colliding with the motorcycle and the lifeless teen. He was uncuccessful and subsequently lost control of his vehicle, running into the ditch and causing heavy damage to his pickup. The second driver was uninjured, and remained on the scene.
