Last Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 8:58 pm Conroe Police received a call for a major accident on the I-45 feeder near Gladstell. Conroe Fire and MCHD arrived and found a female, identified as Jaci Bell, 24, deceased on the scene. A male, identified as Landon Whitmire, 39, was in critical condition. MCHD transported him to HCA Conroe in critical condition. According to Conroe Police Whitmire was driving his 2002 Yamaha, southbound on the I-45 feeder recklessly at a high rate of speed. He attempted to enter the main lanes of the freeway when he struck the curb ejecting both from the motorcycle.
