Just after 10 pm, 911 took a call for a motorcycle crash on Rose Road in the curve just south of Rose Royal. North Montgomery Coutny Fire responded along with MCHD. CPR was started by Aa young man and his father who came upon the crash. The first unit arrived 7-minutes after the call and confirmed CPR was in progress. Paramedics worked on the male who was in his 60’s for almost 30-minutes before determining his injuries were incompatible with life. According to witnesses and friends at the scene, the driver was traveling north on Rose Road on a brand new 2021 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Speed did not appear to be a factor when he drove off the roadway in the curve and slammed into two trees. He was wearing a helmet. Friends say the driver was a huge supporter of the Toys for Tots Program and was planning to be on the Toys for Tots ride in Willis Saturday morning. They say he was a very experienced rider. Eickenhorst Funeral Directors transported the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. The curve that the crash occurred in has been the scene of many crashes. Crash debris from the various crashes litters the ditch and woods along the roadway. DPS investigated the crash. This was the third serious motorcycle crash for the day. Just before 3:30 pm, a motorcycle was involved in a crash on I-69 near Roman Forest. In that crash, the male driver suffered injuries and his female passenger suffered extensive injuries. They were taken to Kingwood Hospital. Then one-hour later a motorcycle was struck head-on on FM 1097 West near Bent Water. The female passenger in that crash was transported to HCA Conroe in critical condition. The male was transported in critical but stable condition. Since Thursday morning North Montgomery Coutny Fire has responded to four fatal crashes with a total of five fatalities.
