At 6:25p Conroe Fire was dispatched to an aircraft emergency at the Conroe Regional Airport. They were updated to a crash at the end of runway 32. Conroe Fire and North Montgomery County Fire units along with MCHD arrived on the scene and were able to observe a column of smoke. They were not able to access the Cessna A185F Skywagon, a single-engine aircraft with a float/ski configuration and a passenger capacity of 6. ATV’s were added to the call to access the crash due to the terrain. Upon reaching the aircraft firefighters were not able to access the two occupants due to the damage. The two occupants were pronounced deceased. Conroe PD, DPS, FAA are investigating. Runway 14/32 is closed but traffic is able to use the remaining runways.
Ronald Dennison, 61, and Alison Arnold, 41, were both killed Saturday around 6:25 p.m. when the plane Dennision was piloting crashed on takeoff, according to Sgt. Erik Burse with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
