FATHER AND SON ARRESTED FOR THEFT AFTER STEALING OVER $2,376.00 WORTH OF MERCHANDISE FROM A LOCAL HOME DEPOT

On February 1, 2023, a Sergeant with Constable Mark Herman’s Office was patrolling in the 17900 block of Spring Cypress Road when he observed two suspicious males exiting the Home Depot Store with a shopping cart filled with merchandise. Upon making contact with the suspects, they got into a motor vehicle and fled the scene, leading deputies on a brief pursuit.

Constable Deputies were able to stop the vehicle but the passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit he was apprehended and identified as Robert Myers Jr. The driver of the motor vehicle was identified as Robert Myers Sr.

Further investigation revealed that they stole over 2,376.00 worth of merchandise and that Robert Myers Sr. was out on bond for Felony Theft.

“Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Robert Myers was charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and Felony Theft. His total bond was set at $50,000.00 out of the 185th District Court. Robert Myers was charged with Evading on Foot and Theft. His total bond was set at $1,000.00 out of County Court 4.” – Constable Mark Herman
