At noon today a female in her 30’s was traveling east on FM 1488 on her 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle. As she approached Kuykendahl at a high rate of speed, traffic was stopped for the traffic light. She was unable to stop and slammed into the rear of a 2024 Mercedes. Several witnessed were in the medical field including two ICU nurses who started CPR immediately. With construction in the area fire and EMS were delayed getting through very heavy lunchtime traffic on FM 1488. When they arrived they continued life saving measures and transported the female to Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands. It was there that she was pronounced deceased. DPS investigated the crash. Several witnesses said the the motorcyclist was seen at different points on FM 1488 between speeds of 40 and 70. The driver of the Mercedes was not injured. The motorcycle was removed from the scene by Champions Point Towing.
