Almost seventy motorcyclists gathered today at players lounge for the Fifth Annual Santa Kids Bike Run sponsored by Sheriff Tommy Gage and many other supporters.
Jack Long one of the first in the program and the lucky guy dressed up in the red suit at Christmas to have those smiling faces sitting on his lap was in the group that started out on the ride and went to different clubs along the route. At each point collecting a playing card and logging it to their card. The best hand back at the starting point wins a trophy.
The entry fee goes to the Santa’s Kids Project. to buy toys, clothes and bicycles for many unfortunate kids in East Montgomery County.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District Three Patrol Division and Precinct 4 Deputy Constables provided escorts to keep the rid safe.
People wanting to donate can bring new toys, bicycles or clothes to the Porter Fire Station and it will be added to the Christmas Toy Bag.
