Firefighters are battling the fire at Crown Oaks trying to stop it from crossing FM 1486. Another DC-10 made a drop and was lining up for FM 1486 when the smoke intensified and he had to pull off. The fire is moving west. The winds have started to build.
County is using blades along FM 1486 From Shady Oaks in an attempt to stop embers from igniting grass.

Scott Engle and Jamie Nash are Montgomery County residents and veteran law enforcement / breaking news reporters, who met covering a law enforcement story and have covered multiple counties, with Scott as a television videographer for multiple local stations and national networks, and Jamie as newspaper / magazine / online reporter.
