MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- According to the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office, citations were issued Sunday for trash burning that led to wildfire in East Montgomery County.
Violators can also face additional fines and arrest depending upon the severity of the damage from their illegal or reckless conduct.
IT IS ALWAYS ILLEGAL TO BURN TRASH IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY (Right now, it’s downright STUPID!)
Grass fires are starting easily, and spreading quickly, which will inevitably lead to someone burning down their family’s or someone else’s family’s home. There are fires all over southeast Texas today caused by illegal or irresponsible burning. It’s also important not to toss cigarette butts at this time. It’s that dry!
