Just before 1 am Madisonville, Midway and North Zulch Fire Departments responded to a fire at the House of Hope, a rehab facility for men on West Trinity Street in Madisonville. The facility which houses close to 40-men received extensive damage. Most of the living quarters may be salvageable however the chapel and gym are a total loss. WIth the fire out and salvage operations complete the facility is in need of some help. They are in need of twin size mattresses, bedding, hygiene supplies, men’s clothes and men’s underwear and socks. If you have these items please drop them off at the 1st Baptist Church in (on the backside of the gym) in Madisonville until 6:00 p.m. today (11/9) or Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:00. The House of Hope is a 12-month recovery program that teaches men Romans 10:9 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” We deal with alcoholism and drug addiction for the men to find a new life and purpose in and through Jesus Christ, develop self-discipline and skills to re-enter society. Daily bible study, community service and prayer are the most significant activities of each day.
