A firefighter suffered a knee injury and was transported in stable condition to Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands when attempting to control a fire at Sagamore Ridge in The Woodlands. The blaze occurred after lightning reportedly struck the home. The house suffered heavy damage and crews will be working for quite awhile to completely extinguish it.
Another firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion. Cypress Creek and MCHD EMS are on scene, monitoring firefighters for heat exhaustion.
Avoid the area if possible.
