Just before midnight Sunday Pasadena firefighters were dispatched to the Cinnamon Ridge Apartments at 6565 Spencer Highway in Pasadena for an apartment fire. First units on the scene reported flame through the soffit area of the roof. Firefighters were able to make a quick attack restricting the flames to the common attic. Seven units suffered smoke and water damage. The Pasadena Fire Chief said one resident stated his wife had clothes in the dryer and moments later he saw flames crawling up the wall. There were no injuries.
