Saturday afternoon, Montgomery County Sheriff’s responded to a welfare check on Lynn Lane in Porter. The deputy arrived and requested fire assistance. When Porter Fire arrived, the house had shifted, and it was determined to be too dangerous to enter. Manpower and equipment requests went out, and North Montgomery County Technical Rescue, Woodlands Fire Structural Collapse Team, Magnolia Rescue, and Conroe Technical Rescue all responded to the scene, as did the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management. Firefighters spent close to three hours shoring the house up and making it safe for entry. Once it was shored, an MCSO Drone Operator flew a drone in through a window and discovered the body of a male. At this time, foul play is not expected.
