The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southeast Texas… including
the following counties… Austin… Brazos… Burleson…
Colorado… Fort Bend… Grimes… Harris… Houston… Liberty…
Madison… Montgomery… Polk… San Jacinto… Trinity… Walker…
Waller… Washington and Wharton.
* Through this afternoon
* showers and thunderstorms are developing across southeast Texas
early this morning, and expect increasing coverage through this
afternoon. Activity may concentrate along and ahead of a cold
front that will be moving into the area. Rainfall rates of 1 to
3 inches per hour with locally higher amounts will be possible
with the stronger activity or where any training sets up.
* The watch area may need to be reconfigured during the day as it
becomes a little more clear as to what locations are at most
risk for flooding.

to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
