Flooding continues on the East Fork of the San Jacinto River which still has FM 1485 closed. Residents of Plum Grove and Splendora are seeing much heavier traffic as one of the main routes to Plum Grove remains closed forcing the traffic to FM 2090.

The Flood Warning continues for the East Fork San Jacinto near New Caney. * Until late Thursday night. * At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 63.7 feet. * Flood stage is 58.0 feet. * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Monday was 65.5 feet. * Forecast...The river has crested and is expected to slowly fall and should be below flood stage Thursday afternoon and continue falling to 52.2 feet Saturday evening. * Impact...At 62.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins with secondary roads near the river inundated, including FM 1485 west of the river. * Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 63.7 feet on 12/15/2001.
