* Flash Flood Warning for...
east central Matagorda County in southeastern Texas...
Brazoria County in southeastern Texas...
central Chambers County in southeastern Texas...
Galveston County in southeastern Texas...
eastern Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas...
east central Waller County in southeastern Texas...
south central Montgomery County in southeastern Texas...
Harris County in southeastern Texas...
southwestern Liberty County in southeastern Texas...

* until 1015 PM CDT

* at 717 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen since 1 PM. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pasadena... Pearland... League City... Sugar Land... Baytown... Missouri
City... Galveston Island west end... Galveston causeway... Texas
City... Friendswood... La Porte... Deer Park... eastern Rosenberg...
Lake Jackson... Alvin... Angleton... Dickinson... Stafford... South
Houston and Bellaire.

Harris County flood control district reported that 20 roadways had
high water. Rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will add to the
flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Turn around... dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

* until 815 PM CDT

* at 620 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
northeastern Sugar Land... Humble... Katy... Tomball... Jersey
Village... Prairie View... Brookshire... Pinehurst... Barrett... town
West... Spring branch west... greater greenspoint... Addicks park
ten... Spring... Kingwood... Northside / Northline... mission Bend...
The Woodlands... Aldine and Eldridge / West Oaks.

Rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour will add to minor
flooding.

... Record daily maximum rainfall set at College Station...

A record rainfall of 2.75 inches was recorded at College station's
Easterwood Field today. This breaks the old record of 1.40 set in
1975.
