FM 1097 HAS REOPENED AFTER AN ACCIDENT THAT CLOSED IT FOR ALMOST THREE HOURS BETWEEN BUFFALO SPRINGS AND FM149

An accident involving a Cajun Concrete truck just after 9:30 this morning has closed FM 1097. The truck was eastbound on FM 1097. As it approached the curve just before Buffalo Springs it ran off the road rolling over.

At this point a heavy duty wrecker is on the scene along with Montgomery Fire Department. The drum is  still loaded with approximately 7 yards of concrete. They are awaiting the arrival of a flat bed truck an make an attempt to load the drum onto it. At this point the drum is partially split so it is unknown if the integrity of the drum will hold up to the lifting of it.

It could be several hours before the road is reopened.

The driver was transported by MCHD in critical condition.
