At 2:27am Sunday Montgomery County 911 dispatchers received a call for a major accident at the intersection of FM 1484 at Tree Monkey which is just north of SH 105 in Cut and Shoot. NMCFD arrived on the scene to find a male and female trapped in a Toyota Camry. After some time they were able to cut them out and transported both to Conroe Regional Medical Center in Conroe. DPS Troopers investigated the crash. According to troopers, a Chevrolet pickup pulled out of Tree Monkey onto FM 1484 when his truck died. It was then the Toyota driver which was northbound on FM 1484, did not see the truck and t-boned it in the drivers’ door. The driver of the truck was not injured but was arrested on the scene for driving while intoxicated. At this hour the male driver of the Toyota is in very critical condition at Conroe Regional Medical Center. The female is also critical. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Vehicular Crimes Unit is assisting in the investigation and have impounded both vehicles as the investigation continues.
