At 9a.m. this morning an 18-wheeler hauling twelve crushed cars tried to stop for the traffic light at Old Houston and FM 3083/FM 1485. At that point the truck started to skid and being top heavy rolled over in the ditch.
DPS is on the scene and wreckers just righted the truck at 11:30a.m. The load is still unsecure to haul so it will have to be off loaded before it can be towed.
Caney Creek Fire Department is on the scene as is Montgomery County Sheriff’s units, Precinct 4 units and DPS.
In addition diesel and other fluids are spread through the ditch and intersection. Milstead Haz-Mat team is on the scene to start the clean-up.
There is a heavy backup in all directions.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if at all possible.
