In June of 2024, a registered sex offender was arrested by the Montgomery County Pct. 1 Constable’s Office ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force Detective and has since pleaded guilty to his charges.
John Collins, a former porn star, porn director, and NASA employee, pleaded guilty to promotion of child pornography. He has been sentenced to 33 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Since April of 2024, Collins has been in communication with the Precinct 1 ICAC deputy and sent several videos depicting children. The deputy was able to track Collins to a Lomita, California, address during the conversations. Once he was able to match Collins to a drivers license photo to the Collins he had been communicating with a warrant was issued for his arrest. Once the warrant was issued, Montgomery County District Attorney Bret Ligon, true to his word about going worldwide to bring the criminals to justice, requested the U. S. Marshals to arrest Collins, which they did and returned him to Montgomery County on June 24, 2024.
