FOUR PUPPIES LOST IN HOUSE FIRE

Just before 9pm a home owner returned home on Dogwood Drive just off FM 1484. As she approached the front door she saw smoke and flames inside. North Montgomery County Fire Department and Cut N Shoot Fire Department responded to the scene. As they arrived they entered the home finding heavy fire conditions on the second floor loft area. It was quickly extinguished. The home suffered fire damage upstairs and smoke and water damage in the lower floors. The family pit bull was able to escape, however firefighters found her four puppies inside the home. They did not make it. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating.
