FOUR VICTIMS OF WALLER FATAL CRASH IDENTIFIED

Robert Daniel Maxwell, 41, of Houston remains in the Waller County Jail without a bond. He is charged with four counts of intoxication manslaughter in the crash on US 290 in Waller County on Wednesday. DPS Troopers were able to download the “Black Box” of Maxwell’s vehicle and determined he was traveling at 143 miles per hour in his 2015 Chevrolet Impala when he struck a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta causing it to erupt in flames. By the time firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, they found four victims burned so bad that Troopers could not even determine gender. The victims were all from North Carolina and have been identified as Rafael Sanchez, 36, the driver, Enedelia Garcia, 40 Mariano Sanchez, 20, and Clemencia Sanchez, 40. Maxwell was first taken to St. Joseph Hospital for his injuries then transported to the Waller County Jail. It was determined that he had several different narcotics in his system including heroin.
