Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department received information that a warrant had been issued by Pardon and Parole for a known area drug dealer who was just recently released from prison.
The suspect, identified as Jason Michael Schulz, 44, was spotted by Precinct 5 patrol deputies around 8 PM yesterday traveling north on SH 249 towards Magnolia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and detained Schulz on his outstanding warrant. Precinct 5 K9 Kaution arrived on scene and quickly alerted on Schulz’s vehicle for narcotics. Deputies searched the vehicle incident to the positive K9 alert and found approximately 3 ounces of crystal methamphetamine. Schulz was booked into the Montgomery County Jail for his warrant along with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 4-200 Grams. (First Degree Felony).
Captain Billy Masden state’s that Precinct 5 will continue their efforts to combat drugs and associated crime in Montgomery County with the support of other local law enforcement agencies, District Attorney Brett Ligon’s Office and Montgomery County Commissioners.
