Two people were injured just after midnight on SH 242 between FM 1314 and the river bridge. According to witnesses a Chevrolet HHR was driving at close to 90 MPH eastbound on SH 242 and attempted to pass a pickup truck. When the driver realized there was a vehicle coming at him head-on he went to pass on the shoulder. Losing control and flipping. SH 242 traffic was limited to one lane as the crash was investigated.
