A Galveston County fugitive wanted on multiple felony charges was apprehended in San Jacinto County last week. His troubles are now multiplied thanks to contraband officials say they removed from his residence.
On Friday, the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Department assisted the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders & Fugitive Task Force in arresting Price Padgett at his residence on Richie Road in Coldspring.
Padgett had been eluding authorities by living in San Jacinto County using an assumed name.
The U.S. Marshals, their S.O.G. (Special Operations Group), Harris County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad, US Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Department took Padgett into custody at his residence without incident.
A search of the Padgett residence produced 17 rifles and shotguns, 21 handguns and thousands of rounds of ammunition, along with methamphetamine, crack cocaine and marijuana.
