A gasoline price war seems to be underway in the FM 1314 and Stidham Rd. area of Conroe.
With many area stations selling gas for $2.45 to $2.59 and even higher, The Corner Store and the Paradise Food Store one block north are battling for customers with unleaded priced at $2.39 a gallon.
According to AAA, the current national average is $2.69 and AAA Texas shows the state average is $2.54. The highest priced gas was found in California, at $3.39 per gallon and the nation’s lowest was found in Oklahoma at $2.29 per gallon.
