Large Hail Hits Conroe Area

Just after 6 p.m., severe weather moved through the Conroe area, forcing many motorists along FM 1314 to find tree canopies overhead to protect their vehicles from the large hail.

South Loop 336 south to SH 242 and from Interstate 45 to Grangerland was affected the most by the hail.

A bolt of lightning was captured on video at the intersection of FM 1314 and Gene Campbell just before 7 p.m. The video is shown in slow motion.

Many readers have also submitted their photos.
