On Wed. March 9, 2016, just after 5am. Conroe Police Dispatch received a report from a concerned motorist who observed a one car minor accident in the south bound lanes of 1400 S. IH 45 near Gladstell. The caller requested assistance for the motorist involved in the accident and advised dispatch that she was going to check on the driver. The good Samaritan, located on the far outside shoulder, turned on her blinker and attempted to cross all five south bound lanes of traffic. She negotiated the first 4 lanes, however, was struck in the rear quarter panel when crossing into the final lane. The impact spun her vehicle around and pushed it into a concrete wall. Officers were arriving on scene in response to the first accident and observed the second accident. Officers and EMS responded immediately and the victim was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead. The good Samaritan was identified as 25 year old, Georgina Dunham.
