CONROE – A Montgomery County grand jury heard evidence Thursday against the TDC inmate who became the focus of a nationwide manhunt after his Dec. 1 escape which began when he overtook his guards while traveling through Conroe, but the day ended without an indictment.
Montgomery County prosecutor Rob Freyer said the grand jury was presented with witness statements, photographs and unspecified evidence.
“We want to make sure they have all the information prior to making a decision as to how we proceed on this case,” Freyer said.

The prosecution will continue to present evidence next Thursday on the three complaints, which are two counts of aggravated kidnapping and one count of felony escape.
