Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County Announces New Board Member

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County (Habitat MCTX) is pleased to announce a new member of their Board of Directors, to help continue the mission to build safe, decent, affordable homes for families in our community. Jana Mayberry works as a Tax Manager, and CPA at Waste Connections. She holds the knowledge of individual, corporate, and 501(c)(3) organizations and has worked as a tax professional for 25 years.

Jana volunteers with the Can-Do Crew, an all-women construction volunteer group, that has helped build four homes in Habitat Montgomery County’s Cedar Creek Subdivision. She holds a leadership position within the group consisting of 40 women dedicated to building affordable housing and empowering the lives of women.

Jana states, “The opportunity to give families a chance at home ownership, and the excitement these families share is such a wonderful gift that Habitat provides. The investment Habitat makes in these families and the investment given by the families is a wonderful thing to be a part of.”

“It is a gift to have Jana join the board of directors. Her skills, talents, and compassion for the mission will be a complement to the board and our organization’s goals and vision, said Vicki Johnson, executive director.
