Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable David Hill celebrated an anniversary Thursday. Not an anniversary of marriage but his 44th year in Law Enforcement. David Hill started his career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 1967 because he was to young to start with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
That changed in 1968 when he went to work for the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Trooper in the Magnolia area. Hill continued his employment until 1982. At that point he was forced to resign as DPS rules stated you could not be a Trooper and run for public office. He was elected Constable in Precinct 5 in 1983 where he has remained serving the citizens of the Magnolia ever since.
