Tonight Hardin High School Football was to be a tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness. The school sold t-shirts and $5.00 of each went to Breast Cancer Research. The players were planning on wearing pink tonight and the community were going to make a loop on the track.
Well that changed late in the day today. Coach Haynes were told his players no pink. If you do you are on the sidelines tonight. Also if several of you want to wear pink and sit on the sidelines he threatened to forfeit the game.
The parents are outraged. Administrators did not respond to phone calls. The students were scared to go on camera telling us he would, “Haunt them”. We had to disguise their voices to ease their fears.
Several cancer survivors were in the stands, one even participated in the lap on the track in her wheel chair.
It may have been a message as the game started the time clock wouldn’t work. After some time they got it going.
