HARDY TOLL REOPENS AFTER WRONG WAY DRIVER CRASH

The outbound Hardy Toll Road near Bush Intercontinental Airport was reopened late Friday night, hours after authorities said a wrong-way chase ended with a crash.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said the chase started on Louetta Road.

The driver reportedly had a flat tire but still refused to stop before the crash near Richey at about 3 p.m.

An Eyewitnes News crew also captured the mangled remnants of two vehicles at the scene.

Houston TranStar reported the wreckage cleared at 9:01 p.m.

3:35 p.m.

The Hardy Toll Road is a parking lot at Airtex because of an earlier crash that occurred when Harris County Precinct 4 Deputy Constables were in pursuit of a suspect who headed southbound on the northbound lanes.

Choose an alternate route to avoid an extensive delay and / or difficult or impossible exiting.

SLOW DOWN. MOVE OVER. IT’S THE LAW!
