Just after 5 p.m. this evening a female felt she was being followed in Northwest Harris County by a black Honda Accord. Frightened, she called her husband who in turn called Harris County Precinct 4 Constables office. Dispatchers with Precinct 4 notified units in the area and called the female driver back on her cell phone. They instructed her to turn into the Walmart parking lot at Kuykendahl and FM 2920. Turning in the Honda continued to follow at which point he was surrounded by three patrol units.
The driver of the Honda attempted to run the deputies over at which time one deputy fired several shots at the moving vehicle striking it at least twice in the hood area. A chase started and continued up Kuykendahl, crossing Kuykendahl-Huffsmith and the railroad tracks the driver of the Honda struck several construction barrels one of which struck his windshield cutting his visibility. The driver then fled into the woods.
A search continued in the area for over 2 hours when the suspect was found in the bed of a dump truck in a storage lot.
He was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. The suspect was identified by Constable Ron Hickman as Matthew James Wolski, 22.
In March 2010 he was sentenced to 18 months for possession of a controlled substance
Wolski has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2010 in Harris and Fort Bend County. all were for indecent exposure. In November 2010 he was sentenced to 75 days in Harris County.
January 11, of this year he was given 60 days for indecent exposure.
He was reported to have live at 5035 FM 2920 #406 in Spring when sentenced this year, approximately two miles from the Walmart.
