HARRIS COUNTY K-9 CAPTURES FLEEING SUSPECT

Early Friday morning a Harris County deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for no license plate on Hopper Road in northwest Harris County. The male suspect fled at low speeds at times stopping then taking off again. The chase continued down East Mount Houston until he reached Connor. It was there he jumped out and ran into a heavily wooded lot. Little did he know just one hundred feet into the woods was a fence of a commercial business. K-9 “Jack” responded with his handler and entered the wooded area to search for the suspect. With heavy vines and ground brush it was an extremely slow move.  Just before the fence Jack found the suspect between two logs lying on the ground. As the suspect raised his head up Jack stopped him from moving any further with a bite.

The suspect was transported by Harris County Emergency Corp to LBJ Hospital.
