At 3:40a.m. Monday morning a TDC guard at the TDCJ Neal Unit in Amarillo spotted an inmate going over the fence. The guard fired six shots but the inmate was able to continue over the fence and flee. The inmate is identified as Marvin Garcia
Garcia was convicted to 25-years in Harris County in 2010 for murder.
At this time TDC dogs and Potter County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching the area using dogs.

Scott provided video, and as the blog grew in popularity, businesses began to inquire about advertising. Scott Engle and Jamie Nash are Montgomery County residents and veteran law enforcement / breaking news reporters, who met covering a law enforcement story and have covered multiple counties, with Scott as a television videographer for multiple local stations and national networks, and Jamie as newspaper / magazine / online reporter.
