HARRIS COUNTY MURDER SUSPECT FOUND

dennis anderson On Thursday, October 21, 2010, Investigator’s of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division acting on a Crime Stoppers tip regarding a body being located in a barrel responded to 7518 Split Oak Ct. in northwest Harris County.

At that location investigator’s met with a room mate of the homeowner, Darrell Anderson. The room mate allowed Investigator’s to enter the property and check the contents of a barrel located on the side of the house. Upon opening the barrel, Investigators discovered the skeletal remains of an unknown female. The remains were transported to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences for identification and cause of death. The remain still have been unidentified and the cause of death hasn’t been determined.

The Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for Dennis Anderson who had been paroled out of TDCJ in on a life sentence for murder. In 1972 and 1973  he was convicted of killing a grandmother and drowning her 3-year-old grand daughter. in a toilet bowl during a robbery at an antique store in Kountze, Texas.

He did 17 years of his sentence before being paroled. Then earlier this year was charged with robbery and now the body.

On Friday, October 29, 2010, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in Florida responded to a local hotel where the body of a white male was discovered hanging in a motel room. Through their investigation the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office was able to determine the decedent as Darrel Anderson.
