In April 2018, investigators with Constable Mark Herman’s Office initiated an undercover investigation after receiving complaints of possible illegal gambling at the Save-A-Step gas station located in the 21900 block of Meadowhill Drive.
During the investigation, numerous violations of Texas gaming laws were observed by Investigators. A search warrant was issued on the establishment and executed by Constable Mark Herman’s Criminal Investigative Division on April 18, 2018. Investigators seized illegal gaming machines and over $9,000.00 in illegal gambling proceeds.
“Rizwan Doshani, Imtiyaz Maknojia, Bigyan Guragain and Allaudin Makonjia were arrested and booked in the Harris County Jail. Rizwan, Imtiyaz, and Bigyan were charged with Possession of a Gambling Device and Allaudin was charged with keeping a Gambling Place/ Device. Their bond is set at $1,000.00 out of the 7th District Court.”– Constable Mark Herman
