During the months of November and December 2015, Deputies with Harris County Precinct 4,
Constable Mark Herman’s office, took reports of numerous motor vehicle burglaries that occurred throughout Northwest Harris County. Constable investigators discovered that a credit card taken in one of the burglaries had been used by suspect Charles Crowley, and obtained a warrant for his arrest for Felony Credit Card Abuse.
Crowley was arrested for the open warrant and confessed that he and his associate, Cory Skipper, committed several of the vehicle burglaries reported to the Constable’s office, as well as numerous burglaries in Tomball and Conroe which led to additional charges of credit card abuse and theft of a firearm.
On December 17, 2015, Constable Investigators located and arrested Cory Skipper, who was operating a vehicle that was reported stolen and contained property from several vehicle burglaries. Skipper was arrested for an open felony warrant and new charges of Felony Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance were filed.
With the arrest of Charles Crowley and Cory Skipper, the Precinct 4 Constable’s office was able to solve approximately eight five (85) vehicle burglaries occurring in subdivisions within the Dowdell PUD, Bridgestone, MUD401 and Spring West Municipal Utility Districts.
Charles Crowley is currently in the Harris County Jail on bonds totaling $60,000 on charges of:
2 Counts of Felony Credit Card Abuse
1 Count of Theft of a Firearm
Cory Skipper is currently in the Harris County Jail on a NO BOND on charges of:
1 Count of Possession of a Controlled Substance
1 Count Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
