Last night while Deputies patrolled the shopping areas, a major wreck occurred near Valley Ranch and TX 99. PCT4 Deputies worked as fast as they could to clear the roadway and open back up all lanes of traffic. One particular individual 👇🏻 became impatient and decided to try and drive on the improved shoulder. The vehicle being so big and the driver so inebriated, decided he was going to wait in the improved shoulder and grassy area, blocking emergency services and tow trucks from accessing the scene of the crash.
Tow trucks attempted to pass, utilizing their over head lights and honking their horn at the individual to clear a path for them. The suspect not only ignored their request, but honked back using incredibly loud train horns that were outfitted to his vehicle.
A PCT 4 Sergeant decided to end this tomfoolery and have a word with the individual. After making contact, the Sergeant realized the driver was intoxicated and observed an open container in the vehicles cup holder.
After a brief investigation it was determined the male was better off spending Thanksgiving in Montgomery County Jail.
