HEAD OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY MOTORCYCLE GROUP INJURED BY HIT AND RUN DRIVER AFTER FALLEN OFFICER MEMORIAL

Harris County Precinct 5 Deputy Mark Brown passed away after he was struck by COVID-19. A Memorial Service was held Saturday for him. The Taylor Organization Motorcycle Group from Montgomery County who has been heavily involved in many memorials and functions throughout the area rode to the memorial to pay their respects. Leaving the memorial they were riding with the Thin Blue Line Group. While traveling on I-10 near Beltway 8 a female driver in the lane next to them came into their lane. She struck Allen Taylor, President of the organization causing him to crash at 65mph. Taylor’s bike ended in the HOV lane. Cars were slamming brakes trying to avoid hitting Taylor who lay in the middle lanes of I-10. The female driver did not stop but fled the scene. A Houston Police Dispatcher who is also a member of the Thin Blue Line caught up to her fifteen miles down I-10. The woman was arrested for felony hit and run. Taylor was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Taylor suffered five broken ribs and a punctured left lung and severe road rash. He remains in stable condition. Taylor said. “I thought I was dead as brakes were squealing and watched cars inches from him.” Witnesses said his bike Taylor’s bike flipped at least fifteen times.
