Just after 7 am this morning a Ford pickup was northbound on I-45 just north of FM 1097 when the driver fell asleep. The truck ran off the main lane and slammed into the rear of a disabled 18-wheeler on the side of the road. The 18-wheeler, owned by Heavenly Father Trucking of San Antonio, sustained heavy damage to the rear. The truck had been disabled and the driver had his reflectors on the road behind it. The impact pushed the loaded 18-wheeler almost 3-feet. The driver of the pickup was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital in stable condition with a possible broken arm. The 18-wheeler driver was not injured. Miller Heavy Duty removed the truck from the road and Amamicks Wrecker Service removed the Ford.
