A US Army Apache helicopter enroute from Bryan to Conroe experienced hydraulic problems earlier and was forced to make an emergency landing in a hay field off County Road 215, just south of Anderson in Grimes County. According to Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell there were no injuries or damage. Mechanics are responding to the scene. Sowell did say it would most likely be morning before the helicopter could continue it’s flight. An Army security detail along with Grimes County deputies will stand guard on it overnight.
