HI-RISE FIRE

Houston Fire Department is on the scene of the Chase Bank Building Downtown Houston. This is the Chase Bank Building i the 700 block of Main and not the Chase Tower.  First units arriving on the scene reported fire coming out the doors and fire on the 27th floor.

Since then it has gone to a 4 alarm fire. That brought on when a firefighter went missing for a short time.

Ponderosa Fire Department has been dispatched with their “Big Blow” a large fan capable of moving large amounts of air to vent the building.

A broken water line has slowed progress and fire officials ordered a 4” line be brought to the 27th floor by using the ladder truck as a waterway.

Radio Traffic is reporting people trapped in an elevator. It doesn’t appear to be any firefighters but it has not been confirmed either. They have crews investigating.
