Just before 11 pm Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a major accident on FM 1488 at Old Conroe Road. Magnolia Fire arrived on the scene and found a male trapped in a white Mustang with heavy damage. Two other females have minor injuries and were able to get out on their own. According to witnesses the Mustang was eastbound on FM 1488 at what they say was 100+ miles per hour. When the vehicle approached the intersection, it slammed into a 2002 Dodge pickup waiting to turn left from the left turn lane on FM 1488. The pickup driver was not injured. The male was transported to Conroe Regional Trauma Center in critical condition. FM 1488 was closed for close to an hour as DPS investigated the crash.
