Sunday morning about 9am Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable Jones’ Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle near the Harris County Line on SH 249 after getting reports of a reckless driver coming out of Grimes County on SH 249. The male driver refused to stop and led Deputies in a vehicle pursuit of close to 120mph into Harris County. The driver turned off SH 249 onto Northpointe where he eventually crashed through a fence in a yard and went back to SH 249. The suspects then fled through yards on foot. With a perimeter set and residents keeping deputies with Harris County Precinct 4 Constables updated on sightings both were taken into custody. Hundreds of pieces of stolen mail and identification items were located in the vehicle along with methamphetamine. The male driver who was also wanted out of Pardon and Parole was charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle possession of identifying information and possession of a controlled substance. The female passengerger was charged with pursuit evading on foot and local warrants. Both individuals were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
