The Waller County Sheriff’s Office has located the driver involved in a crash from back on August 1, 2024, on Highway 6 and FM 1736. Juan Carlos Moreno Salazar, who was found to reside in Grimes County. Salazar had been traveling southbound when he forced an 18-wheeler off the road. Salazars truck and the 18-wheeler came to rest in the ditch at which time Salazar fled. When deputies caught up with Salazar he had meth and fraudulent government documents in his possession. He was booked into the Waller County Jail.
