On April 17, 2015, the Sheriff’s Office reported a case involving a Home Invasion in the Shepherd area where the suspect was tracked and captured within 2 hours of the event. The suspect, DAVID LUNDY, BM 3/15/92 of Houston (Greenspoint area), was connected to a stolen vehicle recovered, near the scene of the Home Invasion, by Chief Schultea. A stolen Mossberg Shotgun was found in the recovered vehicle which was discovered to have been taken in a Burglary in Montgomery County, Texas. Lundy is being charged with the Burglary in Montgomery County. Lundy is also under investigation in Harris County for 2 additional Home Invasion cases. The investigation into the Home Invasion in San Jacinto County is now closed with Charges Filed. The Detective Bureau is continuing to review evidence and information into 2 other break-ins on FM 223 the same date of the Home Invasion. Other jurisdictions are reviewing the information provided by SJCSO and other agencies in order to examine similar cases in their areas. Meanwhile, Lundy is being held in the San Jacinto County Jail on bonds totaling $225,000. Holds have been placed on Lundy by Harris County for Assault with Bodily Injury on a Public Servant, Evading Arrest and other investigations.
