HOMICIDE IN EAST MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Close to 1230am Thursday Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported stabbing in the 23600 block of Goode Road in far northeast Montgomery County. The Hispanic male in his 60’s was found in the front yard of a home which is just off SH 105 East and had been stabbed in the back and neck. The resident who found him called 911 and was given CPR instructions, which were continued when Cut and Shoot FIre and MCHD arrived on the scene. First Responders continued performing CPR. After close to 30 minutes of CPR he was pronounced deceased. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Detectives and Bret Ligon, the Montgomery County District Attorney have just arrived on the scene at 3 am. This after a very busy night with another stabbing in the Pinehurst area and a shooting in the Pinehurst area of far west Montgomery County. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace James Metts responded to the scene to perform an inquest. The male had no identification. A portable AFIS machine was requested from the Splendora Police Department. HIs prints did not match anything in the database. A male resident on the next block was questioned but released. The body has been transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center by Eickenhorst Funeral Directors.Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help. If anyone has information call the Montgomery County Crime Stoppers.
