AT THIS MOMENT HEAVY RAIN IS MOVING ACROSS GRIMES COUNTY WHERE THE TEMPERATURE REMAINS AT 70 DEGREES WITH LIGHT WINDS. . BUT JUST UP THE ROAD AT COLLEGE STATION THE TEMPERATURE IS 49 DEGREES.WITH LIGHT WINDS. A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4PM FOR MONTGOMERY AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. NOTHING AT THIS POINT ON RADAR IS SHOWING ANY VIOLENT WEATHER., BUT LIKE SATURDAY IN NORTH TEXAS, THAT COUD CHANGE IN A MINUTE.

A Blizzard Warning remains in effect until noon CST Monday.
* Winds and visibility... north winds of 35 to 45 mph with gusts
of 55 to 65 mph are expected. Visibilities from falling and
blowing snow will drop to near zero at times... causing
whiteout conditions.
* Snow accumulations... 5 to 13 inches of snow with localized higher
amounts are possible. Snow drifts of 5 to 10 feet are likely due to
the strong winds.
* Wind chills... the combination of strong north winds and cold
temperatures will produce wind chills as low as 10 below zero
for much of this winter storm event.
* Impacts... travel will become extremely hazardous or
impossible. Power outages may occur across parts of the
Oklahoma and Texas panhandles.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions... making travel extremely dangerous or impossible. Do
not travel. If you must... have a winter storm survival kit with
you. If you get stranded... stay with your vehicle.
